We the Diverse People: Cultural Encounters in the Pacific Northwest
Jacqueline Peterson
"Sacred Encounters: Jesuits and the Indians of the Pacific Northwest "
The cultural encounters between the Indians of the Rocky Mountains and the Jesuits expose the beauty of the correlating properties between their spiritual institutions. The multi-sensory museum exhibition, Sacred Encounters, evokes the serene presence of the spiritual world of both the Indian tribes and the Christian churches. Allowing the similarities between these two differing forms of spiritual worship to be celebrated creates a cultural plateau from which we may view the corresponding cultures equally.
