Rachel Bridgewater

"Search Strategies "

Rachel Bridgewater imparted her professional knowledge on the process of searching the Internet. Searching the Internet can be a daunting task, but with the right tools, one can find relevant sources.   Bridgewater, a librarian at Fort Vancouver Regional Library, spoke on the ins and outs of Boolean logic along with numerous other searching tips and tricks.   Determining the credibility of these sources becomes the searcher's next task.  By investigating the site's content, the site's structure, the site's source and the date of the site's inception and last update, the user will be able to critically analyze the site's creditability.    Through these lessons, the mass amount of information on the Internet can be easily sorted to find the most reliable historical sources.
